HOMESTAY  PROGRAM

While enrolled at Hawai'i Rainbow Academy students have the option to participate in our homestay program. We strongly believe that students who live with a local family while learning English optimize their experience in Hawai'i. Host families provide closer connections to our culture through family sharing, conversations and family activites that may not be gained from living alone, resulting in deeper learning and a more memorable time.

Hawai'i Rainbow Academy works with Rainbow Homestay to pair students with a host families that are right for them. Rainbow Homestay is a trusted company with superb customer service and Aloha.

Homestay provides an opportunity to stay with a local family while studing abroad.  

Homestay is an integral part of Hawai'i

Rainbow Academy's study program because it enhances each student's experience.  In the Aloha State, we are all "Ohana" which translates to family.

HOST FAMILIES

Host families are reliable and trusted.  They have been screened by homestay personnel and are registered with Rainbow Homestay.  

 

Host families are located within close proximity to our school. They provide a self serve breakfast, dinner and English conversation.

HOMESTAY FAMILY LIFE

Life with a host family is fun and enriching. Students gain a deeper undertanding of Hawaii's local culture through their immersion into local family life.  They spend time practicing English  during family dinners and various activites. Family activities vary but has included BBQ's, beach days and luaus.
